What we collect
AutoGrow collects the store information needed to install the app, create storefront experiments, and measure experiment performance. This can include store domain, product and theme information, experiment configuration, storefront events, and aggregated conversion metrics.
How we use data
We use this data to run A/B tests, show merchants experiment results, keep a history of automated changes, and maintain the service.
Customer data
AutoGrow does not sell customer data. The app is designed to measure storefront behavior by experiment variant and does not require merchants to manage separate AutoGrow user accounts.
Internal service analytics
We use limited first-party statistics to understand and improve AutoGrow's setup, pricing, and other app screens. These include daily screen visits, navigation transitions between screen categories, and estimates of time spent actively viewing a screen. We stop counting hidden-tab and extended idle time. These measurements are immediately added to daily aggregate counters, rather than stored as individual browsing histories, and are retained for up to 90 days.
These statistics do not contain store or visitor identifiers, email addresses, IP addresses, full URLs, typed text, or screen recordings. We do not create analytics cookies, use browser fingerprinting, or share these statistics with Meta. Requests use the app's existing Shopify authentication, but authenticated identities are not included in the analytics counters. Short-lived request identifiers and rate limits are used only in server memory to prevent retries and abuse.
Checkout initiation, trial approval, and the first paid subscription receipt are recorded separately as service and billing records associated with your store. These records do not require permission to share data with Meta and are not a record of your browsing activity.
We honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals for internal screen analytics. You can also contact us below to object to this processing and disable future screen analytics for your store. This will not affect your subscription or the operation of AutoGrow.
Optional advertising measurement
With your permission, AutoGrow shares your trial and subscription activity, including plan, trial duration, and the amount and currency of the first paid subscription receipt, with Meta to measure and improve advertising. Matching information includes a SHA-256-hashed store contact email, a hashed store identifier, and browser information. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. We do not share card details or your shoppers' personal information through this integration.
This choice is optional and does not affect your trial, subscription, or storefront experiments. You can allow or stop future sharing through Privacy choices in the app's Setup page. We honor browser opt-out signals. Withdrawing permission stops future event delivery and clears unsent matching information; it does not recall events already delivered to Meta. For questions or deletion requests, contact us using the address below. Meta processes received information under its Privacy Policy.
Sharing and retention
We share data with service providers required to operate the app and, when you permit optional advertising measurement, with Meta as described above. We retain app data for as long as needed to provide the service, support merchants, and meet legal obligations.
